It has a population of one hundred twenty five thousand people and is a city of varied industries. It is the central point for the great water power development of Western Michigan. Grand Rapids is also noted for its many handsome public buildings; for its beautiful homes; and for its truly wonderful parks. Twice during each year Grand Rapids has a National Furniture Exposition and thousands of the leading furniture men of the country visit the city where the new styles and new lines of furniture are shown in the many fine Furniture Exposition buildings. At Grand Rapids is located the New Pantlind Hotel, which is under the same management as the Ottawa Beach Hotel, and which is acknowledged to be one of the finest in Michigan.
